The CIIR hosted our first Learning and Language Technologies Symposium on May 4, 2023. CIIR faculty James Allan, Negin Rahimi, and Hamed Zamani were joined by University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill faculty researchers Jaime Arguello and Rob Capra in organizing this event. Faculty and doctoral students presented research that addresses how computing can be used to help people learn and how human language can be modeled or mined for those and related challenges.
