James Allan and Bruce Croft are General Chairs of the ACM SIGIR International Conference on the Theory of Information Retrieval (ICTIR 2015) held in Northampton, MA from September 27 – 30, 2015.

Researchers from around the world gather at ICTIR for four days discussing the latest advances in information retrieval (IR) research. CICS professor Andrew McCallum, director of the Center for Data Science and the Information Extraction and Synthesis Laboratory, gives the keynote address, "Embedded Representations of Lexical and Knowledge-Base Semantics."
